Nachimoto Sidewalks

Kasari walked down the sidewalk, scanning her white cane back and forth on the ground so she could tell where she was going. She listened to the hustle and bustle of the town around her, and apologized whenever she hit someone's ankles with her cane.

A small white dragon ran down the sidewalk at a really fast followed by a boy with long pink hair.
"Anai?! Watch out!"
The dragon blinked and went headfirst with a white cane then lay still on the sidewalk.

Kasari gasped and fell over, the cane flying from her hands. "Ow..." She sat up, rubbing her head. She had some scratches on her arms and legs. Kasari reached around for her cane but couldn't find it. "Oh no. Oh no. Nononono...."

Mai rushed up and picked up the woman's cane and held it out for with a bow.
"Gomen! My dragon is incredibly reckless! H-he didn't mean it!"
The little dragon got up and wobbled around a bit before shaking its head and sitting down once more.

"Thank you." Kasari took the cane and stood up, leaning against it for balance. She looked in the boy's general direction, but not straight at him. "Dragon's are like that when they're young. I'm Kasari." She tilted her head, "And you are?"

Mai picks up the troublesome white dragon and nodded, completly agreeing with the Kasari.
"I'm Susyuma Mai and this is Chibi."
Chibi hurred as he was moved to the young teens shoulder.

Kasari smirked and nodded. "It's a pleasure to meet you both." She started walking so that she wouldn't block traffic, and motioned for him to come with. "So what brings you to the city?"

Mai follows after her, petting Chibi on the head.
"My brother told me to go take a walk. That and an accident brought us out of the country and here."

Kasari smirked at the brother part. She wondered about the accident, but knew it was best not to pry. Continuing down the street, Kasari scanned the white cane in front of her. "I'm sorry to hear of your accident."

Mai smiles a bit sadly and he glances curiously to the cane before replying.
"It wasn't that bad...And its been quite a few years...We just had to move because of some leftover business..."
He glanced to the side and stared at the people going past. His parents had died quite more than a few years and the elftover business was all the lawyers and the fans that found out that the boy's parents were famous actors...

Nodding, Kasari paused when her cane hit something hard. She reached her hand out and found that she was near a wall. She leaned against it, bringing her cane close to her side. Kasari listened to the people, slightly saddened to hear some of them whispering about her being blind. "I'm guessing your brother is older than you?"

Mai nods, giving the girl a happy smile and tilts his head to the people who were whispering about a blind girl and he sweatdropped as he realized it must have been Kasari.
"A-ai. By uh...maybe...."
He thinks for a minute and begins counting off fingers.

Kasari waits, gently tapping each of her feet on the ground for no reason.

Mai loses counts and a sweatdrop appears over his head.
"Well,....er...."
He rubs the back of his head, a nervous tone taking to his voice.
"Well, He's older than me thats for sure. Heh, what about you. Do you have any realtives around here?"

Kasari smirked forlornly.

"I'm an orphan. Never knew my parents. Most likely never will."

Mai jumped slightly and he bowed his head.
"Oh, I'm sorry..."
He says, feeling awful for bringing up the question, not meaning to bring up sad memories.

Kasari shook her head. "Don't be sorry. I took Rowan in, and ever since then, things have been great."

Mai smiles happily and looks to her curiously, forgetting for a moment that she was blind.
"Eh? Who's Rowan?"

Kasari smirks and shifts her weight to the other foot. "Rowan is my pet elk." She puts a fist out in front of her, looking funnily determined. "And one day, he will grow up to be bug and strong!"

Mai watches her and he chuckles behind his hand.
"Sounds like a goal to me! An elk huh? I wonder what thats like."

Kasari looks in his direction. "He spends most of his time in the woods. He comes when I call him, though."

Mai nodded, quite interested in unique and rare pets.
"Really? Thats cool. Heh."
He tilts his head back at Chibi who churrs as if saying 'What? I could that to...if I wanted'.
"Is it particularly hard rasing an elk?"

Kasari thinks a bit. "Depends. Most apartment complexes obviously don't allow elks as pets. He once got into the neighbor's vegetable garden.... I can't bring him into the city, nobody approves of him here."

Mai tilts his head and hides his mouth behind a small fist.
"Hm? That's strange, elks need to eat too so I don't see much of a problem with it."
